FAQ

HOW LONG DOES A SHOOT TAKE?

Shooting interiors requires a lot of attention to detail and careful planning. It's a process that can take a while to make sure the lighting, composition, and decorations are right before snapping the final shots. A half-day or full-day session, depending on the project, is needed to capture all the angles and get the best shots possible.

HOW CAN I GET THE MOST OUT OF THE SESSION?

It's best to prepare your space in advance by styling, staging, and cleaning the day before. Trying to stage and style on the day of the shoot can be stressful and less productive, although some changes may be needed during the shoot. By having everything ready beforehand, we'll have more time to focus on capturing the best images possible.

CAN I SEE THE IMAGES DURING THE SHOOT?

Yes - I shoot tethered, which means images transfer to a laptop in real time. You can review as we go, which makes it easy to flag anything you'd like to revisit before we wrap up.

HOW LONG UNTIL I RECEIVE THE FINAL IMAGES?

The turnaround for receiving the final images depends on the scope of the project, the number of images, and the level of editing required. I aim to deliver the final images within 2 weeks after the shoot, and I will work with you to meet your project deadlines.

CAN I SHARE THE IMAGES WITH SUPPLIERS OR CONTRACTORS?

Third parties who want to use the images for their own marketing will need to purchase their own license. If you know in advance that a supplier or a contractor who is involved in your project, let me know before the shoot - cost-sharing arrangement can make things more affordable for you.

WHO OWNS THE RIGHTS TO THE IMAGES YOU CREATE FOR ME?

Under UK law, photographers own the rights to the images they create. When you hire me, you are licensing the images for your own use. It's important to review and sign this agreement before the start of any project to avoid any confusion about image ownership and usage rights.

Testimonial

Lou is an absolute joy to work with. I’ve worked with her on two different projects - interior room photography and branding portraits - and in both, she brought the perfect balance of professionalism and warmth. She has a way of putting you at ease so you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera, while also paying incredible attention to detail behind the lens. Lou captures spaces beautifully, highlighting atmosphere and texture, but she also knows how to draw out personality in branding shots so they feel authentic and refined. I couldn’t be happier with the results and would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a photographer who combines skill, creativity, and genuine lovely energy.
